Conference

I love conference weekend! It has motivated me to be better, and to get back to the basics so I can have stronger faith. I love it because it gives me so much strength and hope to live every day so much better.

Lately I've really been looking at light in pictures and in just everyday life and how it touches my world and my perspective on things. And that was one of the main themes of conference was the Light of Christ. It changes who we are and makes us so much better. After the first session of conference I felt a need to be by myself and really commune with my Heavenly Father on a deeper level then I've been doing lately. And when I get that way I love to drive up to the avenues cemetery and just sit and ponder life and the awesome power of God. So I drove up and sat in the sunlight by Chase's grandmas headstone, I didn't know her but I felt I needed to be by something or someone I had a connection with. It was so amazing to take in the wonders that God has created for all of us, and I as I closed my eyes to the sun I felt the warmth penetrate my skin, and the light seemed to grower brighter behind my eyes as I focused on it. I'm so grateful for the sun that warms the earth and warms my soul, just like the Light of Christ it warms my soul and leaves me better then I was. Christ brings a peace into my hectic everyday life that I need so bad. As I listened to President Uchtdorf I felt the prompting of the spirit to really do as he said and stop and know that He is. That is one of my goals is to calm down, and take time to soak it all in, the glory of God, the atonement, the goodness of the world, and all that I have. I know the gospel of Jesus Christ is true, it's fruit is good and brings joy and peace like nothing else ever can! I rejoice as Nephi did in the goodness of God and in his mercy and love for me and for all of us. Truly life is good and Christ and God are merciful. Christ arms are stretched out continually, it is never too late!
